The Lion King takes place in the Pride Lands of Africa where a lion rules over the other animals as king. Rafiki (Robert Guillaume), a wise old mandrill, anoints Simba (Jonathan Taylor Thomas from Young, adult by Matthew Broderick), the newborn cub of King Mufasa (James Earl Jones) and Queen Sarabi (Madge Sinclair), and places it in one gathering of animals at Pride Rock ( "Circle of Life"). Mufasa Simba is on a tour of the Pride Lands, teaching him about the "Circle of Life", the delicateEquilibrium, all living things.
